Junior Lone Star FC are pleased to announce the release of our 2017 season fixtures. The Stars will play between 32-66 competitive matches on five fronts (National Premier Soccer League, Philadelphia Premier Soccer League, Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, USASA Amateur Cup, USASA Werner Fricker Open Cup) from March to November with about 13 major trophies up for grasps.
The Stars begin their 2017 campaign on Saturday, March 18th at 5:00 PM when they host Upper Darby FC in the PPSL Community Shield (a curtain-raiser for the 2017 Philadelphia Premier Soccer League season). After another two weeks of training, the Stars will be action again on Sunday, April 2nd when they travel to Newark, DE for a friendly against the Wilmington University Wildcats before returning to Philadelphia to play Junior Lone Star U23s in the PPSL season opener on Tuesday, April 4th at 6:00 PM.
On Sunday, April 9th at 5:00 PM, the Stars will host Virginia’s ASF Select in the Regional US Amateur Cup Quarter-Finals at the Monsignor Bonner High School Stadium.
After couple of PPSL matches, the Stars will travel to Baltimore, Maryland to battle the defending dual US Werner Fricker Open Cup and US Amateur Cup National Champions Christos FC on Sunday, April 23rd in the Regional Werner Fricker Open Cup Quarter-Finals.
On Wednesday, May 10th, the Stars will play in their first-ever Lamar Hunt US Open Cup match against either NPSL or PDL opponents from PA, NJ, NY, or VA. The First Round draw is expected to be made on April 12th.
Three days later, the Stars will begin their NPSL campaign with a Route 3 Derby away to rivals West Chester United SC at the WCUSC Stadium in West Chester, PA at 7:00 PM while the Stars’ NPSL home opener will be against BuxMont Torch FC on Saturday, May 20th at 4:00 PM at the Monsignor Bonner High School.
