With the 2017 National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) season in full swing, Junior Lone Star FC is pleased to announce its first-ever corporate jersey sponsor: Piayon Lassanah, Attorney-at-Law.
Attorney Piayon Lassanah has signed a one-year deal to be the club’s primary kit sponsor, with his official logo on the front of the team’s NPSL jerseys.
“It’s great to have a young Liberian lawyer like Piayon committing to being the club’s first-ever corporate jersey sponsor,” Junior Lone Star FC President Paul Konneh said. “He’s a young lawyer who has been doing an exceptional job within our community and we couldn’t be happier to be wearing his logo on the front of our NPSL jerseys. This is one of the key moments as we continue to build this club.”
Piayon Lassanah, a Liberian who grew up in Ghana but spent most of his life in the Philadelphia area, is an attorney at the Law Offices of Shaka Johnson, LLC. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey where he concentrates on representing individuals in personal injury, criminal defense, and family law cases. Piayon has also represented several small businesses in general commercial litigation cases.
Piayon graduated from Temple University and earned his law degree from the University of Kentucky College of Law. He is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association, the Barristers’ Association of Philadelphia, and the American Association for Justice.
In addition to practicing law and enjoying time with his friends and family, Piayon serves as the Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Saint Malachy School in Philadelphia and he’s a Big Brother with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
“It is an honor to support local community organizations like Junior Lone Star Football Club,” Piayon Lassanah said. “It’s always a win-win situation when you give and receive support from the community. Junior Lone Star FC is especially dear to me. As an alumnus, the teamwork, comradery, and structure were very helpful in shaping the values of my late teenage years. I am proud and pleased to contribute to the vital work that President Paul Konneh, Coach Bobby Ali, and the rest of the Junior Lone Star FC family continue to do in the local community.”
“This sponsorship deal is in honor of my commitment to community service and empowerment. Junior Lone Star FC provides structure and mentorship through soccer to young underserved urban athletes, who are typically faced with economic, cultural, and linguistic barriers. Through coaching and team building, players quickly develop initiative, social skills, self-awareness, and a sense of identity. Junior Lone Star FC’s commitment to providing a positive outlet for underserved young men in and around Southwest Philadelphia, for personal, athletic, and professional development, is representative of my personal and professional goals,” he further added.
The Stars new NPSL kit will be unveiled later this week. The Stars will play in the away kit away to Clarkstown SC Eagles on Sunday, June 4th while the home kit will be worn at home against West Chester United SC on Wednesday, June 7th at 7:00pm at the Monsignor Bonner High School Stadium.
Piayon Lassan, Attorney-at-Law logo will be on the front of both NPSL Home and Away kits while Nagbe Collection which also signed a one-year deal earlier this month will be on the back of both NPSL Home and Away kits.
