We are pleased to announce that Philadelphia Lone Star FC Legends will be competing in the Segunda Division of the Casa Soccer League as well as the EPSA O-30 State Cup.
PLSFC Legends, comprised of legends from local community teams as well as former college student-athletes, will play their inaugural season in the CASA Soccer League against 11 teams, including rivals Trenton FC who they will battle in the season opener this Saturday.
The CASA community of soccer players is the largest independent amateur soccer league in the region that offers year-round soccer throughout Philly for men and women.
There are five divisions this Spring season with the Legends approved to compete in the Segunda division which is below the Primera Division.
The Legends will play 11 regular season games + playoffs. Regular season champs are automatically promoted to the Primera (1st) division while the 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 5th place teams enter the promotion playoffs with the champs gaining promotion to the Primera division.
The Regular season champs also qualify for the Kelly Cup City Championship with the Kelly Cup City Championship Final and the CASA End of Season Party held on Saturday July 20 after the UNION v FIRE (each CASA team receives 12 tickets to the match).
The bottom two teams [11th & 12th] in the Segunda Division are relegated to the Tercera (3rd) division.
Meanwhile, the Legends will also compete in the EPSA O-30 State Cup where they have been drawn in Group A against VE Majors and Colonial SC.
The winners from the group will battle the winners from Group B in the O-30 State Cup Final with the Champions representing Eastern Pennsylvania at the USASA Region I O-30 Cup and subsequently Nationals.
