Keita was born in Monrovia, Liberia and immigrated to the United States. Upon his arrival to the United States, Keita joined Cavalla FC where he competed with the club in several tournaments before transferring to Philadelphia Lone Star Academy in 2018.

While with Philadelphia Lone Star U23s, Keita attended and played college soccer at the Valley Forge Military Academy from 2018-2020 where he had a career of 13 appearances, 13 starts, 6 goals and 5 assists before transferring to William Penn University in late 2020.

In his very first season with the Statesmen, Keita has played in the last eight games, started in seven of them, scored twice, had an assist, and helped qualified his team for the NAIA Division I National Championship Opening Round.
