Philadelphia Lone Star FC is pleased to announce a technical partnership with iconic Danish sportswear brand hummel.
The three-year partnership agreement will see hummel produce custom matchday kits as well as training and travel wear for the Stars ahead of the 2021 season.
As technical partner, hummel will be the club’s exclusive apparel and equipment supplier throughout the term of the three-year agreement for our Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams except for the UPSL and NPSL teams which will move to hummel in 2022.
As part of the agreement, Hummel will produce custom home/away kits for USL2/WPSL teams this season and open an e-commerce club shop for fans to purchase Stars gears.
Founded in 1923, hummel is a Danish sportswear brand with deep roots in soccer and handball. hummel is one of the oldest, most dedicated team sports brands in the business and their iconic chevrons have always worked as a symbol of how they like to do things a little differently – always with a twist and a whole lot of character.
Paul Konneh, President of Philadelphia Lone Star FC, said: “We are very excited to have hummel as our new kit supplier for the club in our inaugural season in the USL League Two as well as our second season in the WPSL.
“Our players have been wearing the famous hummel chevrons for couple of years now during training and we thought it was time to have uniformity with both training and gameday kits coming from the same supplier.
“We are certain that fans will love the design of our custom kits for the USL2 and WSPL teams when they are released in April!”
Jeff Duback, hummel US Country Manager, said: “We are thrilled by the opportunity to be working with Philadelphia Lone Star and look forward to growing with them over the years. This partnership aligns perfectly with both our global and local goal to ‘change the world through sport’.”
Other clubs currently signed with hummel include the Danish National Team, Everton, Middlesbrough, Coventry, Charlton Athletic, SC Freiburg, S.C. Braga and Brøndby IF.
Philadelphia Lone Star will announce when the new matchday, training, travel and leisure wear will be available to purchase in the coming weeks.
