MONROVIA, Liberia – Junior Lone Star FC-Liberia is pleased to announce that the club has signed 17 players for the upcoming 2018 Liberia Football Association (LFA) National Third Division Championship League.
In a signing ceremony held over the weekend in Monrovia, all 17 players signed a two-year Player Development Contract with an option to renew for another year.

17. Darlington Zeegar
According to the JLS-LIB Vice President of Administration Winston Smith and JLS-LIB Vice President of Operations Abel Thomas, they are still working with head coach Solomon Freeman to sign eight (8) more players to complete the team’s 25-man roster for the season.
After the signing ceremony, several players took to social media to announce that they have signed with the club including the following:
Edward Parker posted: “Finally the deal is done! I give God the praise, I’m now the proud property of Junior Lone Star FC-Liberia. Thanks to all my family, friends, fans, and well-wishers. More time, more achievement.”
Evan Teah posted: “I’m grateful to God for a new beginning in my career….and thanks to the Junior Lone Star FC family for believing in my talent.”
Forkpah Mulbah posted: “The beginning of everything is not easy. Lord I’m grateful for the beginning of my career. Great things You have done and greater things You will do. My all belongs to you King of kings.”
John Kai posted: “Thanks to the Almighty God for His blessings upon my life today. I am very much delighted today to become a player of Junior Lone Star FC….I promise to serve Junior Lone Star FC to the best of my ability.”
Musokula Drame posted: “Hello family members, today is one of the fantastic days of my life….I’m thankful to all my former coaches and those who helped me work on my game….Almighty Allah is in control.”
Speaking in the United States after watching the signing of players live on Facebook, Junior Lone Star FC founder Bobby Ali said:
“I’m so happy to see that we now have a team in Liberia. I’m grateful to our Board of Directors who have given us their commitment to make this project successful and I’m thankful to our hard-working officials and coaching staff in Liberia for their tireless work so far. It’s now up to these players to proudly fly the Junior Lone Star FC flag high in Liberia as it is flown here in the United States.”
Speaking on behalf of JLSFC Board of Directors, JLSFC Vice President of Operations Morris Kemokai said:
“This is a momentous occasion in this club history. It’s great to see that the club is expanding and will now be having a footprint in Liberia. Who knows, we might expand in other countries in the future but right now, the Board focus is to see that our Liberia project is successful.”
JLS-LIB will be competing in their inaugural season during the 2018 LFA National Third Division Championship League which is expected to begin in late May or some time in June.
The club has already partnered with SlumLife Entertainment to serve as the team’s Jersey Sponsor for the 2018 season.
