Junior Lone Star FC II’s first home game will be against NJ Teamsters FC on April 21 at the Monsignor Bonner High School Stadium.
After a two-week break due to the JLSFC President’s Cup (April 29) and the Battle of the East Soccer Tournament (May 5-6), JLSFC II will embark on a long road trip to Rochester, NY the following weekend to battle Super 9 Pro Soccer Club in back-to-back games on Friday, May 11 and Sunday, May 13 at the Capellie Sport Stadium.
After their return to Philadelphia, the Stars will again be back on the road away to SGFC Football Club in Maryland on May 20 before welcoming the Eagles to town on June 2 after competing in the Capitol Cup during the Memorial Day weekend in Maryland.
The most anticipated game everyone will be looking forward to is the mini-derby, with the Stars hosting rivals Salone FC on June 3, before paying them a visit at the Interboro High School Stadium on June 30.
JLSFC II will then play a pair of in-season friendlies against two PDL clubs’ reserves sides: Reading United AC (June 24) and Ocean City Nor’easters (July 1) before ending the UPSL regular season at home against Super 9 Pro SC on July 7.
For their inaugural season in the UPSL Northeast-American Division, Junior Lone Star FC II will use the Monsignor Bonner High School Stadium in Drexel Hill, PA for all home games. Please note that games are free to the public but donations at the gates will be appreciated.
The UPSL American Division comprises of teams based in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York.
The American Division is split into two groups – A and B – with teams playing the other sides in their group three times, and also playing teams from the other group both home and away which results in a 12-game regular season.
Junior Lone Star FC II (PA), NJ Teamsters FC (NJ), and Super 9 Pro SC (NY) are in Group A while Salone FC (PA), Upper Darby FC (PA), and SGFC Eagles (MD) are in Group B.
The Top 4 teams on the combined standings will then compete in the divisional playoffs on July 21-22 (to be played at the home of one of the teams) to determine the American Division champions.
The American Division champions will then battle the Patriot Division (teams from the New England area) champions on July 28/29 to determine who will be the overall UPSL Northeast Conference champions that will represent the Conference at the UPSL Nationals scheduled for August 11-12.
JLSFC II are also expected to compete in the USASA Region I U23 Tournament in Horsham, PA on June 16-17 as well as the 2018 U.S. African Cup in Worcester, Massachusetts on August 4-5.
Meanwhile, head coach Bobby Ali and the boys are two weeks into pre-season training already as they prepare for three pre-season friendlies against Wilmington University Men’s Soccer in Bear, DE on March 25, First Touch Elite U23s in Pitman, NJ on March 31 and Bearfight FC Pottsdown, PA on April 7.
