Harrisburg, PA – Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) club Harrisburg Heat has announced the signing of Philadelphia Lone Star FC forward Bill Walleekendeh on a two-year contract, the club announced today. As per the league and team policies, the terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Walleekendeh joins the Heat after an impressive season with Philadelphia Lone Star FC where he scored eight goals in 15 matches during the 2019 season.
“Bill has a bright future in the MASL. He has a tremendous ability to go at defenders with pace. So far this season, he has been eager to learn from the coaching staff and returning players. I look forward to Bill having a big impact in the next few years,” said Harrisburg Heat head coach Pat Healey.
After signing, Bill Walleekendeh said: “I am honored to be a part of the family, and I am grateful to the coaching staff for this opportunity. I’m excited for this new chapter and will work harder everyday for the success of the team.”
Walleekendeh will be hoping to make his debut with the Harrisburg Heat at home when they battle Rochester Lancers at the Farm Show Arena on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 7:05 P.M. before a quick turnaround trip to Utica, NY to face Utica City FC at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 8, 2019.
